SUN DRIED RAISINS
The sultana is a “white”, oval seedless grape variety. it is also the name given to the raisin made from it or from larger seedless grapes; such sultana raisins are often simply called sultanas. Sun dried raisins are traditionally imported by European countries. In Iran sultana raisins mostly are produced by well-known local farmers and they are mainly produced from the seedless grapes is the most common. These naturally sweet and tasty raisins are brown or dark brown color. They are harvested in September and early October and dried naturally in special drying plates under the sun. The drying can take from a week to 10 days until the desired moisture level is obtained. Sultana raisins don’t contain any additive and they are SO2 free and should be kept in cool and dry conditions. they are widely used in baking industry. This kind of raisin is popular in Many European countries (due to it’s sulfur free characteristic).

After raisins delivered to the factory, the QC specialist take sample from every delivery in order to be tested in laboratory and if a sample doesn’t meet the standards the whole cargo will be rejected. Approved cargo is then moved to the warehouse. Then they are double washed and transferred to oven drying section. Raisins are dried by centrifuge and oven dried for about 6 hours. After drying raisins are coated with vegetable oil. Stems and stalks, and remaining foreign materials are removed using optical sorting, X-ray sorting, and hand sorting. then packed and metal detected under extreme care of hygienic conditions and with legal and safety requirements and the customers special specifications.
